Starting in 2011, the Researcher’s Film Festival in Nancy will now be spread over 2 years.

In 2011 the Festival will promote and show films about research with screenings in cinemas and at outdoor locations followed by talks with researchers.

In 2012 there will be a researchers’ film competition including events for research professionals and screenings.

In 2011, the Festival team will run free screenings of films about research for the public:

* June 8th at the Caméo cinema: a evening based around the theme of "The Researcher’s Broad Shoulders" (Les larges épaules du chercheur).

* June 9th (morning) at the Lorraine Regional Centre of Pedagogical Documentation (CRDP): presentation of the films selected for the “Budding Researchers Contest" and prize ceremony.

* June 10th (location TBC): a scientific film evening named "Scientific Adventures Near Where You Live” (L’aventure scientifique près de chez vous).
* The final programme of events will be available soon.
